I remember issues with people's stupidity or 'lack of intelligence.' But now that I'm "sober" from the Kool-Aid, it just plain PISSES ME OFF when I encounter these super, stupid people. I'm sorry but I really need to vent. My husband has so much on his plate at the moment that he can't handle my level of frustration right now. And besides, I need you all to tell me if I am over reacting.
I've posted before about my aging mom-in-law and her health issues and to refresh everyone's memory without making your ears bleed or putting you in a sleep-like coma, she's old and in a care home. She fell and is in the hospital now and has had major surgery this week. So, like the creepy, lemmings they are.......the same day she GETS OUT OF MAJOR SURGERY....HERE COMES THE JW'S. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT, FUCKING MIND GOES TO VISIT SOMEONE THE SAME DAY THEY GET OUT OF SURGERY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! AT LEAST CHECK WITH THE FAMILY BEFORE YOU START VISITING?????!!!!!
How did they know she was in the hospital? There is now a JW that is in the same care home. The care-taker told her that my mom should not have visitors and to check with family before going over to see her. Do they listen? No No No.....they don't. They never will. WTF!!!
I really want to break my foot off in someone's ass right now.
Damn, they can be so rude and arrogant! I don't blame you for being frustrated.
Not long after our family had walked away from the Watchtower religion, there was an elderly sister that ended up in a care facility. She was very close to my mother and father. In fact my mother had recently convinced her to get back in contact with her disfellowshipped daughter that she had shunned for several decades.
My father (never a JW) went to visit her. My father had been close to her husband, and had helped her a lot while her husband was dying and afterwards. He called her mom, she called him son.
Anyway, she had already asked the nurses to keep down the number of JW's that were visiting. She actually saw the hypocrisy going on.
So, the most aggressive, a-hole elder (very prominent, on all the conventions etc.) in the area, Mick (who she couldn't stand btw) pushed his way past the nurses, insisting that he was her Minister.
Now, Mick hated me for various reasons, and he wouldn't talk to my father because my dad had stopped his bible study with this guy in the recent past.
Mick gave the elderly (she was dying fwiw) sister an ultimatum, "It's either him or me!"
She picked my dad!!!

A little update! There is just one person I "trust" (kind of) to take my mom out for a quick meal. I think she is the one who leaked the info to the congregation. I sent her a very strong text in essence saying; "NO VISITORS!! Pass that along with the words, someone has said something and now the stream of visitors has started and this has to STOP! She's NOT up for this!! When I talked to her on the phone, she sounded very "sheepish" by the tone in her voice and some of the things she said.
I've calmed down quite a bit this evening. All I have to say now is: "THANKS SATAN!!" LOL!!
They have no filter. Some basic qualities JWs generally have little experience or knowledge of: empathy, adult maturity, accountability, social etiquette, ethical responsibility.
I had a similar experience with my own mother's hospitalization. She tripped over her purse and hit her head on a cement curb. She had a subdural hematoma and some broken bones in her face. The elders immediately showed up to put their foot down about the blood issue, which got the doctor refusing to treat her! I threw them all out of the hospital and had her transported to a different hospital. Assholes! She didn't even need blood! It should have been a non-issue!
What has always shocked me is that when you set legal or human boundaries with these idiots, they don't accept those boundaries right off the bat. You have to get nasty, ugly, rude, even violent, before they finally relent, not because you were right, but because they fear for their safety!
They consider themselves "no part of the world", and that means they apparently don't have to follow the worldly rules either.
